Birdman Denies Involvement in Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooting

Cash Money CEO says he had nothing to do with it, vowed to help find gunman.

Birdman says he wasn't involved in shooting up Lil Waynes tour bus earlier in the year. According to TMZ, sources from both Wayne and Birdman’s camp deny that he had anything to do with the supposed attempt to murder the New Orleans rapper.

Someone from Weezy’s crew contacted Birdman right after the shooting, and the Cash Money head vowed to help them find the gunman. Both phones used were registered to Birdman’s, and police were aware of the call.

The alleged shooter, Jimmy Winfrey, was arrested in May. Two months later, Birdman and Young Thug were named in a murder-fore-hire plot against Wayne.

Birdman and Wayne have been at legal odds since before the tour bus shooting. Wayne is suing Cash Money for $51 million, and the label filed a $50 million suit against Tidal for releasing the Free Weezy album.
