Ride Or Die: Kim Kardashian Gives Kanye West All The Credit For Her Prison Reform Efforts

This may upset a lot of folks.

Fans of Kim Kardashian may be aware that the reality star recently facilitated the prison release of Alice Marie Johnson after infamously meeting with President Donald Trump.

Now, in a recent interview, the beauty mogul is saying that she credits the 63-year-old woman's release solely to her husband and his close relationship with the well-documented bigot.

During her appearance on Sunday on The Alec Baldwin Show, while discussing her campaign to free Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison for cocaine trafficking, Kardashian said that Kanye West is to thank for her now being a free woman.

"I do believe she would still be in prison," she told Baldwin. "Alice and I have spoken about this a few times. Alice always says if it wasn't for Kanye speaking up in support of Trump, then she would still be in jail. She says that all the time."

Expounding a bit more on the early stages of her efforts to get Johnson released, Kardashian said that she first spoke with the Trump's daughter, who advised her on what to do next.

"I called Ivanka [Trump] first," she said. "I felt really passionate about Alice and that it was so unfair and I felt and was hoping Ivanka would hear me out and understand me. She recommended I speak to her husband and he heard me out."

After serving 21 years behind bars, Johnson had the rest of her life sentence commuted.

Now, Kardashian said that she wants to help more with similar cases to Johnson's and further explained that she is funding the work herself.
