Sage The Gemini and Trey Songz Have a Summer Anthem With 'Guantanamera'
Sage The Gemini is back with a new single for the summer.
The Bay Area representer is already having an active year, appearing on two standout tracks — “Payback” and “G.D.F.R.” (Noodles Remix) — that were on the Furious 7 soundtrack. Today, he adds to his list of radio-friendly hits with “Guantanamera.” Over a woozy and bass-heavy beat done by HBK Gang’s P-Lo and Mark Nilan Jr., Sage sings about some ladies he’s feeling (even adopting the Migos flow), while featured guest Trey Songz brings his likeable charm.
Will this song top 2014’s “Red Nose?” We’ll just have to wait and see. But for now, you can listen to “Guantanamera” here. It’ll appear on his second, untitled full-length LP due out this year.
