André Leon Talley Teams Up With Will.i.am for Smart Bracelet

The i.am.Puls will allow users to make calls, text, track fitness goals, and other functions.

Will.i.am has enlisted the help of former Vogue editor-at-large André Leon Talley for his latest project. Talley, who left his position as artistic director at Zappos Couture a few weeks ago, will serve as fashion and style director for the Black Eyed Peas singer’s i.am.Puls smart bracelet, a gadget similar to a smart watch that will make calls, send texts, play music, manage fitness goals, and keep up with social media.

“He is one of the most positive, charismatic [people], and is a great visionary and philanthropist,” Talley told WWD about his partnership with Will.i.am. “We have been talking since September, and he invited me to San Francisco to speak at Dreamforce, when he presented the new product to a room of 5,000 people.”

The project has been in the works for two and a half years by the producer’s firm, i.am+. No word yet on when the device will be available to the public. To learn more about this “computer on your wrist” and keep track of its development, visit puls.com.
