Conor McGregor's Coach Calls Floyd Mayweather Jr. a 'Dirtbag' Who 'Beat Up His Girlfriends'
This past weekend, UFC President Dana White said he sees the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Conor McGregor mega bout happening. And that's all it seemingly took for McGregor's camp to pour gasoline on an already explosive possibility.
During a Q&A session with fans in Australia earlier this week, McGregor's coach, John Kavanagh, didn't pull any punches blasting Mayweather, calling the boxing legend a "dirtbag" and referencing his past history of domestic violence by saying he "beat up his girlfriends."
"I do think Floyd Mayweather is pretty much a dirtbag," Kavanagh said, as reported by Metro. "He’s beat up his girlfriends. I’ve watched [clips from Mayweather’s boxing gym] The Dog House. He just strikes me as a real bully-type character. He makes these guys fight each other endless rounds until one is badly hurt. He’s just not a good individual."
Welp.
This comes after White told reporters that "I see this fight happening" adding, "Conor wants it and Floyd wants it. I can't deny [McGregor] this fight."
If this boxing bout for the ages happens, it's a safe bet that its promotion will include Mayweather and McGregor trading a lot more insults back and forth. Kavanagh's insult is just the beginning.
