Mary J. Blige And The Cast Of 'Empire' Join Taraji P. Henson For Her A Retro Roller Skating Birthday Bash
We all know our girl Taraji P. Henson is practically aging backwards. So for her 49th birthday party, she took it back to the ‘80s!
Taraji is a year away from the big 5-0, so the Empire star went all out and channeled her character Cookie for a boss birthday bash in Chicago! Showing off her toned legs in bedazzled fishnet stockings and pink booty shorts, Taraji was dedicated to her '80s theme and even rocked big, blonde teased hair. She made an outfit change at one point in the night into a shiny, hot pink and gold mini dress, showing off her smooth roller-skating skills!
Taraji was joined by family, co-stars and friends, like celeb besties Mary J. Blige and fellow Virgo Jennifer Hudson, who all wore their best neon, high ponys and leg warmers to turn up at her roller-skating party. Sis even did a sexy shuffle with her beau, Kelvin Hayden!
Taraji’s party was filled with love, laughs and a plethora of ‘80s-themed décor and treats. Don’t even get us started about the cake that was designed with elaborate Pac Man graphics with a giant, pink boombox adorning the top. Now this is how you celebrate 49!
She even took the time to give thanks to her Empire castmates and crew who were in attendance, as the last season of the hit Fox show is set to air September 24.
