T.I. Defends Beyoncé Against Giuliani, Points Out the Black Lives He 'Destroyed'

He thinks the politician needs to stick to politics.

T.I. recently was stopped by TMZ and offered his thoughts regarding former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, who once again spoke up to remind everyone’s he’s (maybe) the only one out there who isn’t a fan of Beyoncé.

The former mayor openly criticized Bey’s Super Bowl performance earlier this year and once again gave another interview where he brought up his opinion that he’s “saved more Black lives” than the superstar singer or anyone at the VMAs for that matter.

The singer was joined at this year’s VMAs, which aired this past Sunday (August 28), by the mothers of Trayvon MartinEric GarnerMichael Brown and Oscar Grant III, all of whom died at the hands of police and therefore sparked the mayor’s urge to comment on the Black Lives Matter movement once more.

Tip is always one to keep it 100, and during his interview shared his perspective that no one should pay Giuliani any attention.

“Who gives a f**k about what Rudy Giuliani says about the music?” He says candidly to the camera. “Who cares? He’s not an aficionado of music. This isn’t politics. He needs to worry about Trump’s campaign.”

The reporter then explains Giuliani’s recent claim further, and instead of arguing it, T.I. states that in a way, the lives that the former mayor destroyed cancel out all of the lives he’s claiming to have saved.

“He also imprisoned so many, unnecessarily,” the rapper continues. “So, I think you have to count against the Black lives he saved for the Black lives he destroyed by imprisoning people for too long. Taking them away from their families and breaking up homes.”

T.I. definitely has a valid point there.

Check out the Atlanta rapper’s recent exchange with TMZ and Giuliani's original commentary in the video clips below.
