Atlanta Rapper Literally Makes It Rain on Homeless People, Obviously Receives Backlash

He says he just wants to give back to those in need.

When it comes to giving back to the community, especially to those who are less fortunate, there are countless ways to do so creatively, effectively and graciously.

However, Atlanta rapper Ralo's method of donating money to the homeless was arguably a little too creative (to put it nicely).

Ralo recently posted a video clip to his Instagram depicting the chaotic scene that unfolded in a homeless shelter's parking lot after the rapper decided to throw a reported $30K into the air. As a result, civilians broke out into a frenzy, crawling on the ground and fighting with each other in order to collect their share of the generous contribution.

Needless to say, Ralo is being met with all sorts of scolding criticism that he could have handled offering his donation a little bit differently.

"F**k going to the strip club," the rapper proudly captioned his Instagram video. "All the n****s with money, let's go to all the homeless shelters and make it rain on the poor people... #RALOHOMELESSCHALLENGE."

His video, which has since been viewed over 100,000 times, is chock full of commentary from people questioning his true intentions behind his peculiar and possibly degrading approach to giving back to those in need.

"No matter how much good you do, they still gone say some bad bout you,” the rapper shared, explaining his actions. “I get 10k just to perform in the club why the hell I can’t give back to the needy? I been making it rain in the clubs all my life AND ain’t nobody neva said s**t bout that but when I give it to those that really need it, it’s a problem. Ain’t tell nobody to laugh nor did I tell anyone to fight over the money. I went to several different shelters that day AND did the same thing."

While people are arguing that the rapper's method was both insensitive and inappropriate, he's making it clear he wouldn't change a thing, save for continuing to inspire other rappers to donate to the homeless.
