Bronx Man Accidently Shoots Himself Then Blames Imaginary Black Guy
In The Bronx borough of New York City, a 20-year-old accidentally shot himself in the stomach at a park – and then, of course, blamed it on a non-existent Black guy.
This is certainly not the first time a Black man has been blamed for something he didn’t do. This fictional man doesn’t even have a name.
The New York Daily News reports that police didn’t believe Arthur Palombo’s story and actually arrested him on Thursday (March 16). It was later confirmed that Palombo did in fact shoot himself that evening and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center.
Originally, the young man said he went to the park to show an old revolver to a potential buyer he previously met. He then claimed the Black buyer haggled with him over a $100 asking price and decided to shoot Palombo, who is Hispanic. He described the buyer as bald.
Police searched the park and found the revolver. When Palombo was released from the hospital, he was once again questioned by police and eventually admitted that he made the story up. The gun apparently went off accidentally in his jacket pocket.
Prosecutors charged the not-so-smart man with weapons possession and filing a false report. He’s being held on $10,000 bail.
Wah wah.
