Protesters Crashed Gucci Mane's Book Signing, And His Reaction Was Priceless

Real tears.

Gucci Mane is having an amazing year, and not just in music.

After a wedding proposal, another W in his post-prison legal saga, a new sneaker line with historic shoe collection Reebok, and winning his first-ever music industry award at the MTV VMA’s, Guwop is now the author of his own memoir, The Autobiography Of Gucci Mane: A Story Of Rap And Rebirth.

And after all of this prospering, no one’s taking away his well-deserved shine — especially not the protesters that pulled up at Barnes & Noble to rain on his book-signing parade.

The Atlanta trap pioneer trekked his 2017 glow-up all the way to New York City for a hands-on book signing event with Gucci fans anxious to purchase the new memoir. Apparently, the anti-fur activists were just as anxious to disguise themselves as fans in a ploy to disrupt Guwop’s affair.

In the video of the exchange, one of them walks up to Mr. East Atlanta Santa and mentions the rumor that he’s planning to go vegan before bursting out in chants and fur activism signs with the rest of the New York Animal Defenders squad.

“You can’t be vegan if you keep wearing that fur!” he said. “Shame on Gucci!”

His dialogue becomes drowned out as another woman bursts out in a similar rant, accusing Guwop of being an “animal abuser.” Security handled the situation pretty well, but not as well (and hilariously) as Guwop himself, who stood calmly with his hands in his pockets. Most of these fur activism outbursts aimed at several Hollywood figures are intended to embarrass their fur-wearing targets, like Kelly Rowland, recently. However, Guwop’s cool, collected composure had different plans for their anti-fur attack, as they were carried out by his security personnel and the signing returned back to its regular schedule.

See his hilarious reaction, or lack thereof, to the book-signing crashers and some brighter moments captured from the event below.
